The 2019 Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Student Showcase was held on Tuesday, February 19th, in the state capitol rotunda in Madison.

The showcase provided students and instructors an opportunity to share with legislators and other participants that technical college students and graduates are skilled, well-rounded leaders in the workplace and in their communities.
Adam VanZile was chosen from a cohort of students to attend the showcase to promote the Native American Tribal Management Certificate program and the partnership between the Sokaogon Chippewa Community and Nicolet College. Adam attended the event with Debbie Timmer, a Lac du Flambeau student, Ashley Maki, Tribal Education Director in Lac du Flambeau, and Ellen Mathein, a Nicolet College Professor.
“I was excited and proud to stand alongside our Nicolet students at the Student Showcase in Madison.  We were able to share the Tribal Management Diploma’s success with other colleges, our legislators and the public. This was a great opportunity for the College, our students and me!” Ellen shared.
