School and Tribe Honor Coach VanZile

This past Monday evening, the Cardinal boys basketball team hosted Laona/Wabeno and were victorious with a score of 71 to 55.
It was also a special night for another reason – it was Coach Jim VanZile’s last game as the team’s coach, and the school and the Tribe honored him for his service and commitment to the team.
The school held a half-time presentation for Coach VanZile. School Board President Jeff Ackley, Jr. gave a speech in honor of Coach VanZile’s tireless efforts and dedication for the many generations of great athletes, and Coach VanZile was presented gifts in honor of his dedication and service to helping students and the Crandon teams excel in their athletic abilities. The Tribe honored Coach VanZile with a Pendelton Blanket, and his sisters and the team presented him with a beautifully beaded Bowlo tie that represented the Crandon Cardinals.
