SCC Awarded Five Federal Grants

The Sokaogon Chippewa Community has been awarded five federal grants to benefit the community:
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Health Homes Production
Purpose: To install or upgrade HVAC in households across the Sokaogon Chippewa Community.
U.S. Department of Education Accessing Choices in Education (ACE) Demonstration
Purpose: To support all educational and cultural preservation programming for K-12 Sokaogon Chippewa Community youth.
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Spectrum Broadband 2.5 GHz Tribal Window
Purpose: Provides free 2.5 Ghz spectrum licenses to Mole Lake Broadband Corporation for the Sokaogon Chippewa Community to develop and serve the community with a range of telecommunications services.
Centers for Disease Control (CDC) – Supporting Tribal Health Capacity in Response to COVID-19
Purpose: COVID-19 related staffing, supplies and activities at SCC Health Clinic.
Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) – Rural Tribal COVID-19 Response
Purpose: Additional staffing and technology supports at the SCC Clinic to address COVID-19.
