Nancy Kane Named Director’s Assistant

Nancy Kane joined Economic Support and Family Services
on March 11th as Director’s Assistant.

Her job duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the director in organizing and updating files, answering phones, taking messages, researching grants, posting special updates, job announcements, composing letters, participating in webinars, tracking inventory and program expenditures, and performing other various general office duties as directed.

Nancy was born and raised in the community, was married and raised four children; Nathan, Michelle, Michael and Joseph Kane. She has 19 grandchildren, who all live in Wisconsin, and she will be a proud great-grandmother for the first time this year. In addition to enjoying grandparenting, she loves rough camping, canoeing, cooking, kayaking, walking and spending time with family.

Nancy has a background in Accounting and Business Administration. She attended college at Mount Senario College, Milwaukee Area Tech and Nicolet College. Her past employment included managing a business with her husband, working with H&R Block, Sears department store, Child Welfare, lay advocacy with Wisconsin Judicare, Inc., and various positions within Sokaogon Gaming including with Human Resources.

“I am excited to work with Family Services, to be involved, and be a contributing member to my extended family and community,” Nancy said. “Miigwech!”
