Memorial Day Ceremony

The weather cooperated on Monday, and the Memorial Day Ceremony was held at the Mole Lake Cemetery.

Dean VanZile, Carl VanZile, Vice Chairman August VanZile, Arthur VanZile and Richard Ackley, Jr., assisted with the Ceremony and the flags.

During a special moment, Dean presented the retired flags to Gertie McGeshick. Gertie’s husband John “Long John” McGeshick was a veteran, and since his passing, Gertie has come every year on Memorial Day to honor him and many others.

Lunch was held at the Mole Lake Lodge following the Ceremony.
