Kenedy Van Zile Named Player of the Year

Tribal Member Kenedy Van Zile was recently selected as the Great Northern Conference Girl’s Basketball Player of the Year.

Kenedy had a terrific basketball season, assisting her team, the Rhinelander Hodags, in victories throughout the year and ending the season scoring an average of 26.4 points per game. This was also the first year that the Rhinelander girls’ basketball team won a conference championship.

“This year’s basketball season to me and my teammates meant so much,” Kenedy said. “We came into this year not expecting much; we knew that we would be one of the top teams in the conference, but we didn’t think we could be the best.”
