Jamie Bauknecht is the New Elder Services Director

By Richard D. Ackley, Jr.
Jamie Bauknecht, who has served as an LPN at the Sokaogon Chippewa Health Center, has accepted the position as the Director of Elder Services.

His work as a nurse at the Clinic will combine serving our Elders with Family Services to maintain Elders’ nutritional needs, including the WIC and SNAP programs. He will also continue to offer education on Medicare and other health programs, as well as manage federal diabetes grants, the emergency preparedness grant and the rural infant health grant.

Jamie earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Wisconsin-Superior and graduated from Nicolet College with a nursing degree.

He expressed his excitement to assist the Tribe with a variety of special activities, and shared, “There is a lot to learn about all of the grants we manage on behalf of our Elders, and I look forward to more and improved funding opportunities in the near future.”

Jamie said that he plans to hold events and raise money to be able to host a wide variety of fun and healthy activities for the Mole Lake Elders. Everyone is invited to stop by the Elders Center and wish Jamie a heartfelt congratulations!
