Sokaogon Chippewa Community News

Good Thursday Morning

We hope you are doing well today.

This weekend is the 2nd Annual Mole Lake Manoomin Pow Wow! As you scroll down, you’ll see a story from WJFW Channel 12 and Chairman Van Zile sharing the importance of Manoomin to our culture.

You’ll also see several cultural activities offered in the community, including Ojibwe language sessions, a Rice Stick workshop and Let’s Go Ricing activities.

Today only, Roger Weber, a GLIFWC Conservation Warden, will be at the Rec Center from 3:00 to 5:00 pm to help students enroll in the Hunter Safety class being held at the end of the month.

We hope you have a great day, and a wonderful weekend 😊.
