Health Clinic Welcomes Nancy Kane
My name is Nancy Kane, and I’m the new Registration/Receptionist at the Sokaogon Health Clinic.
Finally, I get to work in a field where I’m sure I can contribute to the community and meet new people that come to the clinic. I’m a Tribal Member that decided to move back home in 2007 after I saw how the area has grown and prospered in the last 50 plus years to a positive cultural and enriching place to retire, a far cry from the government issued log cabin homes from my youth.
I have a business background and am a certified tax accountant. I worked for H & R Block and worked from home as a tax accountant, as well as having a well-known small engine repair shop in Milwaukee, where I was the bookkeeper and “Jill of all trades” while raising four children.
In addition, I’ve worked for a newspaper creating website ads and I did bookkeeping for several cable companies. I worked at Mole Lake Gaming on and off for several years, as well as in the Tribal community. I have many years to add about myself; my experiences would fill a book and be a collector’s piece gathering dust on a book shelf for my 19 grandchildren!
I am looking forward and very excited about working at the clinic and revisiting with old friends and welcoming new friends. Stop in and say hello.
