Aspirus Mobile Mammography – April 15th

Mammograms Save Lives Through Early Detection

It’s that time of year again. On April 15th, the Aspirus Mobile Mammography Unit will be at the Sokaogon Chippewa Health Clinic performing mammograms.
According to MammographySavesLives.org, “Annual mammograms can detect cancer early – when it is most treatable. In fact, mammograms show changes in the breast up to two years before a patient or physician can feel them.”
Early detection can both increase survival rate and prevent the need for extensive treatment later if the disease becomes more advanced. As a general rule, women are encouraged to start scheduling annual mammograms at age 40.
